Screenwriters

The Primetime division represents innovative creators and writers for television, film, and new media in both comedy and drama across North America. The Primetime team also represents episodic and producing directors for domestic and service production opportunities.

The Youth and Animation division represents top-tier creators, writers, and directors dedicated to entertaining audiences from toddler to tween and is the only dedicated Youth and Animation division in Canada.

Agent

Glenn Cockburn is the founder of Meridian Artists.  Along with the rest of the Meridian Artists team, Glenn currently represents a select roster of some of Canada’s most talented writers, directors and producers.

Kerry Ball is a literary agent and head of development at Meridian Artists. Kerry joined the Meridian team in 2010 as an associate where she worked closely with the agents and roster to facilitate employment opportunities and project sales in both Canada and the USA.

Manager

Conrad Sun joined Meridian Artists in 2014 as an associate.  Based in Los Angeles, Conrad devotes his efforts toward building the Los Angeles roster, and supporting all of Meridian's LA based clients for both staffing and development.

Dustin Alpern
Manager

Dustin Alpern is a literary manager based in Los Angeles who works with both US and Canadian clients. Dustin’s focus is towards both building the Los Angeles roster and providing Canadian writers and directors with staffing and development opportunities in the US market. Dustin enjoys working with his clients in all aspects of their careers, whether that’s finding and introducing them to studio execs and producers with similar tastes, giving them creative feedback on their material, or fighting to improve their contracts.

Alexandra Guccione
Associate

Alexandra Guccione joined the Meridian Artists team as an assistant to Glenn Cockburn in the literary division. Alexandra graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University’s RTA Media Production program with a specialty in single camera production and screenwriting.

Jen McLean
Associate

Jen McLean graduated from the Humber Television Writing and Producing program in 2015 and went on to work as a production assistant on a handful of shows. In 2016 she joined Pier 21 Films as the Assistant to the Executive Producers after which she became their Development and Production Coordinator, working on shows like THE BEAVERTON and RUN THE BURBS. Jen joined Meridian Artists’ literary department in 2022 and works under Kerry Ball.

Arisa Chirawu
Literary Assistant

Arisa Chirawu graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Film Studies from the Creative School. She received the Roger McTair award for her thesis film ‘Dinner with the French’. The film screened at the Ryerson University Film Festival and was nominated for Best Cinematography, Best Director and People’s Choice award. It went on to screen at the Festival du Nouveau Cinema in Montreal.

Grace Chahine
Literary Assistant

Grace Chahine started her career as a PA in Georgia, working on everything from tiny indie projects to giant Marvel sets. After climbing her way up through the art department, she decided it was time for a change and made her way to California to join the team at Meridian Artists. Grace graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a B.F.A. in Film and Television, and shares her LA space with an adorable pup named Jupiter.
